Petwood Caravan Park Policies
We don’t want to start your break by giving you a list of dos & don’ts but please try and familiarise yourself with the below site information and policies. They are displayed at reception, on the noticeboard and at the toilet & shower blocks and are for the benefit of everyone.
Reception
Reception is open 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 7pm on a Friday and 9am to 4pm at Weekends. If it is closed during office hours for any reason, a mobile number is displayed on the door to contact us. Out of hours, please contact the onsite wardens. Emergency contact numbers are also displayed in the reception door.
Pitching up
To maintain an adequate fire safety gap and to be able to connect your caravan/motorhome grey waste to the drain on serviced pitches, please pitch as per pitching instructions. Group bookings are restricted to 3 units and please maintain a 6-metre gap between units. Only one vehicle per pitch. No written signs on vans or trucks on the pitch. Please use the carpark. No annexes on your awning. Only one 5 poled windbreak per pitch. No gazebos, day, or pup tents.
Security barrier
The barrier is to ensure your security and safety, The barrier will be opened between 8am and 10pm. Outside of these times please leave your car in the car park and walk to your pitch.
Motor vehicles
There is a 5mph speed limit across the park. There are no charging facilities for Electric cars, on site charging is not permitted. Car & caravan washing is not permitted on site.
Pets
Dogs must not be left unattended during your stay and must be kept on a lead, except where stated. Please clean up after your pets and ensure they do not cause a danger or disturbance to other guests. The site has the right to refuse dogs due to breed or behaviour.
Fires / BBQs
No open fires, fire pits, fireworks, disposable BBQs, or Chinese lanterns of any kind are permitted on site. Charcoal & gas BBQs are allowed but must be raised off the ground by at least 30 cm.
Smoking
All public areas and all Facilities are strictly no smoking, this includes vaping.
Quiet time
Please be considerate of other guests and keep music and noise to a minimum after 10pm and until 7am we request quiet time across the park at these times. We will not tolerate any persistent noise, nuisance, or unruly behaviour. Anyone found to be causing a problem will be asked to leave without a refund. The Park Manager’s decision is final.
Emergencies
In the event of a fire, please evacuate to the emergency assembly point at the main gate next to the entrance gate. In the event of discovering a fire, please raise the alarm by ringing the bells located on the fire points around the site. Emergency contact numbers are displayed in the reception door during closed hours.
Toilets/showers
Please supervise young children in the toilet and shower area. The toilet blocks will be cleaned daily between 11am and 1pm and, when necessary, at other times. They may be closed temporarily at these times. We ask you to please leave the shower areas as you would hope to find them.
Waste disposal
There are two points around the site for the disposal of general waste and recycling. Separate bins are available for general waste, hot ashes, glass, paper, and cardboard. Each area also has a chemical toilet and grey waste disposal point.
Ball games
Ball games are not permitted around the caravans. Please use the play area.
Visitors
Visitors are welcome between the hours of 9am & 9pm. Please ask your visitors to report to reception and sign-in upon arrival. Visitors will be required to leave their car in the car park.
Departure
Please vacate your pitch by 11am prompt on the day of departure. If you wish to stay longer, please speak with reception on the morning of departure. A late stay can normally be arranged providing the pitch is not booked out for another customer.
